I’ve always said that wine is about a sense of place, but it’s also about the people you share it with. And it was great to spend the weekend looking over the Palisander Chardonnay and Pinot Noir rows and talking shop with such a curious, wine-loving crowd during the Southern Tasmania Open Vineyard these last few days.


The other people that we got to share the weekend with were our wonderful food collaborators! A huge thank you to Lilly Trewartha for those incredible katsu sandos on Friday—they were the perfect start to the weekend. And a big cheers to the Sonny dream team of Sam and Josh for keeping us all (including Nell!) fueled with stellar snacks across Saturday and Sunday. It’s a real joy to work with such talented folk who just get what we’re trying to do here. May this event be the first of MANY such collaborations.
