I’m a big fan of using your dollars as votes—that is, supporting like-minded businesses that share the same values as Stargazer—essentially, ‘leave it better than you found it’.
So with that in mind, this #IWD2025 I’d like to encourage you to check out (and buy) the wines of four wine companies owned and run by women. Sue Bell of Bellwether Wines in the Coonawarra and Kerri Thompson’s Wines by KT are both trailblazers (and role models for me) for starting and operating successful wine businesses while making beautiful wines, and providing leadership in their respective communities.
And a shout out to two much younger operations which have caught my eye who have likewise got some talented and gutsy women as owners: Tillie J Wines helmed by Tillie Johnston in the Yarra Valley and the brand new Bloomfield Wine headed by Lauren Hansen in Coonawarra - both names to watch and support!
