The tribute to legacy of Rada Penfold

The tribute to legacy of Rada Penfold

I often get asked about the origin of the name of my Pinot Meunier/Pinot Noir/Gamay blend, and the story is one of my favourites.

As related by Jeni Port in her book ‘Crushed by Women: Women and Wine’, Rada Penfold, of the eponymous Penfold family, was the PR maven for her family’s company in the 70s. Rada was always the socialite, blending her love of acting, producing films, as well as being quite the trailblazer in the family wine business. She also wrote a wine column for the Sydney Morning Herald, a relatively new phenomenon at the time, to encourage consumers to drink more table wine. An innovative spirit, Rada blended the arts, film, and wine to carve out her unique path in the industry. This blend is a tribute to her legacy!
