Our new tasting room was always designed to be a conversation between the landscape, the architecture, and the art within it. I am so thrilled that the walls of the entryway are currently lined with works by Hobart-based artist James King.
If you’ve been following the Tasmanian art scene lately, you’ll know James is a current Glover Prize finalist. His paintings have this incredible, slightly quirky and wry quality that draws you in. They feel deeply personal yet strangely familiar, capturing moments that feel uniquely of this time.
The next time you’re in for a tasting, I encourage you to take a moment away from the view of the vines to enjoy these pieces up close. They add a whole new layer to the Stargazer experience.
